If afriend of mine gives me one of his VCDs, can I copy it using ROXIO or one of the other inexpensive CD burning programs? All help is welcome.
Thanks

Use Nero - much better than Roxio
Panasonic DMR-ES45VS, keep those discs a burnin' -
see Tools here at this site, get "vcdgear". use it to convert the .dat file on the vcd to .mpg; then i would suggest burning it with Nero Burning Rom.
I have never had any luck with using nero to convert from avi to vcd - mpg (For this get tmpgenc from here as well). -
Hey . . .
If you have an actual VCD that someone has loaned you, then the easiest s/ware in the world to back it up with is CloneCD - it does a raw read of the entire cd, and you can either write to another cd-r / cd-rw, or save it to an image file

A vcd is just a cd full of data in a certain format....Use burning program like Nero...to do a disc at once copy...
