  1. If afriend of mine gives me one of his VCDs, can I copy it using ROXIO or one of the other inexpensive CD burning programs? All help is welcome.

  3. see Tools here at this site, get "vcdgear". use it to convert the .dat file on the vcd to .mpg; then i would suggest burning it with Nero Burning Rom.
    I have never had any luck with using nero to convert from avi to vcd - mpg (For this get tmpgenc from here as well).

    Hey . . .

    If you have an actual VCD that someone has loaned you, then the easiest s/ware in the world to back it up with is CloneCD - it does a raw read of the entire cd, and you can either write to another cd-r / cd-rw, or save it to an image file

    A vcd is just a cd full of data in a certain format....Use burning program like Nero...to do a disc at once copy...
