I would like to convert a few of my svcds to vcd in order for my friencs to be able to enjoy a few good flicks. Now, I know that there is a guide that explains how this is done, but my question (though simple) has been overlooked. See, my svcds are already on disk and the original MPEG-2 files have since been erased. A helpful friend here at VCDhelp told me that I should take the MPEG file out of the MPEGAV folder - but where do I go from there? If someone could cover this subject for me, I would appreciate it. The guide deals with MPEG-2 files being converted to vcd. My situaltion is a bit different since my file is already on a disk. Thanks in advance!
Peace,

Use ISOBuster to extract the file from your CD. Make sure you use the 'Extract M2F2 MPEG-2 frames only' option (will make more sense once you load up ISOBuster). This will give you a mpeg2 file that you can then convert to VCD by means of the various guides available on this site.

copy the mpg file from the disk to your hd then u can do 1 of 2 things
1 load up dvd2avi and file open select mpg file and ok
save project u will b left with a .d2v (video) and an .mpa (Audio) file
oad them up in tmpgenc and encode to vcd
2 in tmpgenc goto mpgtools and demultiplex load the mpg up and save the video and audio (double click each stream). Then load them up in tmpgenc and encode to vcd
