I have a compact-VHS camcorder that is about 10 years old. I would like to transfer some of the tapes onto CD. I don't have a lot of tapes and am not too concerned with speed. I saw the Pinnacle Linx cable and was wondering if anyone has used it and how good it is? My camcorder only has two RCA outputs, 1 for audio and 1 for video. No S-Video, USB, etc. I am somewhat familiar with converting to MPEG and burning once I've got the tapes transferred to my hard drive. If it makes any difference, I am using a PIII 800 MHz, 256Kb ram, 30 GB HD. Not sure what my video card is, but it doesn't have RCA inputs. I realize I will have to probably do 1 tape at a time and it may take a while, but that's ok. Just want to know if the Pinnacle Linx is the best (as in price vs. quality vs. convenience) for my situation. TIA for the help.
