Some week ago i buyed a Geforce 3 Ti200 from MSI, well, imposible to use the capture feature as shipped. First i had to update the BIOS to 28.00 version, later i tested it with Win XP + Virtualdub 1.4.10 + WDM 1.08 + Detonator 21.83 , because with win98 it doesnt works, well, my conclusions...
The only video mode i can choose is UYVY , no rgb24.... NOTHING MORE
Now i cant use Virtualdub because it drops a lot of frames ¿?
Then i tried other soft... iuVCR, but i only can capture directly with DivX 5.02, i used to use Picvideo from Pegasus to make a Pre-Encoding.
The video desyhncronize with audio ¿?
The quality is worst than with my Elsa TNT2 PRO + BT878....
The capture frames have a horizontal distorsion if no codec used.... ¿?
Is a limitation of the Phillips 7102 capture chip the UYVY mode?
Please, really need help, i think i have tested almost everything, but without result.... and i thought i had some knowledge about capturing.
If you have same problems or you did it to work please tell me how, because i have no idea about what´s wrong... O.S. , drivers , ¿?

Same sorry deal here on my GeForce4 PowerPack! Ultra/750 XP 128MB Golden Sample. Philips 7108 chip. Have tried WDMs 1.08 and 1.11 but I get ugly black vertical lines all over the picture. Tried Composite and S-Video. PAL/NTSC. Two different video sources.
Has anybody successfully captured anything with quality using Philips encoder/decoder chips?

Well, i have 50% of work done, try to capture with PowerVCR II 3.0 using mpeg-1 at 2500kb, its perfect. (look at Internet... 5 mins)
The problem... well, when i rip the .mpg to avi-divx the audio desynchronice, althought the quality is very good (3.11a low-motion at 1050kb ).... if you try it posts are welcome.
And i´m not going to stop until i find a good combination.

similar problems here, can capture video very well but audio is out of sync and staticy. I have tryed updating the bios.

Well, I have a similar problem.
When you says that Audio is Out of sync. Did you check the real frame rate you capture. What happens to me is similar and I have seen that during capture, I loose about 25% frames. For example, if you capture at 25F/Sec during 100 seconds, you must have 2500 frames. How many frames do you capture? Of course, frames dropped are 0???.
I have 1700 and this is why audio is out of sync.
I´m looking to find a solution but until know, I couldn´t.
My video Card is a Gainward VIVO GeForce 2 MX400
