  2. As far as I know, you can't get much detail on your mpeg file by right clicking. It works for avi files, not mpeg files. If you want more info on mpeg files, you can use V-Dub ( works for mpeg-1 only). Or you can get
    Bitrate Viewer from www.tecoltd.com/bitratev.htm. You get more info than you care to know with it.

  3. Sweet, just hat I was lookin for! I think your right...it was only on AVI files that would give you the detailed info in the properties-details tab...now I usually DL MPG, no more conversion crap!

  4. The Bitrate Viewer is unavailable at www.tecoltd.com/bitratev.htm.
    What else can be used to do the same and where can it be obtained?

  5. The link he published has a period at the end, it's the only problem. Try this:

    http://www.tecoltd.com/bitratev.htm.

  7. Use TMPGenc --> MPEGTools ---> TAB Demultiplex
    Open the MPG file (no matter MPEG1 or MPEG2) It almost immediatly tels you;
    MPEG1 or MPEG2
    Bitrate Video
    Frames per second
    Resolution
    Audio Sampling Rate
    Audio Bitrate

    Easy as can be. IMHO it's even better then Bitrate Viewer
