1.I'm a newb to this so bear with me. I searched around for a solution and just got way too stuck and overwhelmed. I currently have legit backups of many of my dvd movies on my HD ripped with DVDshrink into .ts folders(aud/vid seperate). My main pc is running vista but I also have access to an XP machine if needed. These movies are all about 4gb a movie and taking up way too much space. I have a NAS (network Storage) for my home network and am looking for the easiest way (with quality though) to convert these into something that I can easily stream through my PC's and PS3. I am running Hi-def tv/monitor. Ideally looking for quality without exceeding 1 gb in size per movie. I do have a sweet 5.1 setup so ideally keeping the 5.1 track would also be great. I don't really care about the extras , titles..etc, just the main movie and 5.1. sound.
2. Simplest way to rip my newer DVDs into compatible format too.
Any help is much appreciated!...and thanks!
