how do i compress files that are too big to fit on a cd,
avi or mpeg, mpg.

MPEG files are usually the favourite compressed movie file type due to its size and accessibility by hardware+software players if it is well prepared and authored.

if you want to watch on dvd player then I suggest you just convert them to mpeg(standard vcd compliant discs) use the avi/divx to mpg guide for newbies.

well depends on the use you,ll hve for it. Avi/wmv if for computer mpg if for a settop
