scooby doo svcd-vcd pc freeze

hello to all first post hope someone can help me . i coverted svcd to vcd using vcdhelp guide avi - tmpge- vcd done two films this week well happy with myself then scooby doo followed the guide and the computer froze had to restart from the begining same happened again froze i then used the simple multiplex then tmpge froze again scooby doo is the centropy svcd any help cheers

If you are using Windows XP, then maybe that is the problem. When I use Tmpg in XP it sometimes randomly freezes.

The centropy video shouldn't be the problem, I've found it is usually the other programs I have running when converting, such as virus-scanners and other "background" apps that cause Tmpg problems.

using w98 have mcafee virus program would that be the problem it freezes at 50-70% of complete
