  1. When i play the PAL SVCD on my Pioneer DV-444 the audio is fine but the picture is in black and white. I have heard this is a problem in a few other dvd players. I know I can encode the video into MPEG2 NTSC but that would take me 18+ hours for each CD (I have 3). I was wondering if there was anyway to convert faster or mabye trick the DVD player into thinking it's a NTSC. I tried Merging and Cutting in TMPGenc like the way you trick it to make some DVD players to play SVCD (there was a post about that on the home page). This did make the movie in color but the Audio was off and seemed to slow the movie down. Also the movie would move a little (up and down the screen). If anyone can help please reply or email me!! thanks!!

  2. Have a close look through your players options menus and manuals. Many DVD players can convert PAL format to NTSC (and vice versa) but usually default to 'auto', i.e. output according to the format of the data on the disc.
