Green/colorful blocks in the converted mpg files

Help please!

After I converted my avi files in TMPGEnc to mpg files and try to play it in WMPlayer ... the screen looks all weird .. blocks all over, audio out of sync, frame skips ...

I don't quite understand why ... and don't think it's because I don't have the correct codec ... I downloaded the Nimo Codec Package and the Divx codec ...

Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

have you found out how to get rid of the blocks on the vcd's yet coz it happens to me too and it's really annoying. Please could you e-mail me if you find the answer of how to get rid of them.

Green blocks can = an audio problem.
Rainbow blocks can = a video or mulitplex problem.

Check your streams for errors.
