  1. I open the avi file with VirtualDub, then I select START FRAME SERVER. I creat the VDR file. Then, in TMPGEnc I click on Browse, select the VDR file and the following error appers: File C:\Windows\Desktop\star.vdr can not open or unsupported.

    I used to do this, and this problem didn't happened... It started when i change the version of both programs...

    can anyone help me?

    You need to get hold of msvcr70.dll and copy it to Windows\system32. Then you will probably need to play around with the VFAPI priorities. IIRC it is the project reader one which needs increasing. Then you will be able to load in the .vdr. 8)

    Do a search in the Net for:
    tmpgenc-readavs.zip
    It's a filter that will allow you to frameserve Avisynth AVS files and VirtualDub VDR files to TMPGEnc. It works great.
    Good Luck!

    Options>Environmental setting>VFAPI plugin. You should see a list of plugins, and you can change the priority of individual ones.

    IIRC = if I recall correctly 8)
