    Does any one knwo the extent of the divx playing thsi player can do... or shoudl i say hwo does this relate to software divx..

    you probably have the old kind of divx supported on your dvd player.

    the old divx was sold exclusively by circuit city and was crumby cheap dvds that require pay-per-view.

    the new divx is merely a hack of the mpeg4 codec. allowing a 2 hour movie to fit on a cdrom with decent quality.

    no hardwared dvd players support this
