    I downloaded a movie on AVI format and it wont play. I thought it might be a divx file so I got GDIVX player but it still wont play. I downloaded a part of it a few weeks ago and it didnt play before but I thought it might play now on the divx player and it still doesnt When I try and open them up on windows media player it just freezes. Can someone tell me what to do ? thanks!

    If you've tried all the codecs it maybe a SMR file....There is a patch to allow viewing of SMR files in the tools section.

    If that don't work, look for the AviFix program in the Tools sections. Might work.
