  3. If you want to just plain encode with no real encoding use Nero to burn it, choose the VCD template. Or if you want to encode the movie yourself to the quality u like then get TMPGEnc and read the guides.

If you drop a AVI into Nero it needs to convert the file into Mpeg just like any other program, it needs to decompress the audio/video and recompress to VCD mpeg1.

Nero does a bad job of this, and can create coasters, don't use it. Use TMPGEnc

  5. Ok i don't now if it's me or everybody else but i seem to be reading your post as you want to burn as avi. So go get nero www.nero.com or easy cd creator www.roxio.com. Burn as a data cd. (BTW nero has a 30 day trial)

  6. I think resnullius and me are on the same page. What if he wants to just burn it as an .avi file? If this is what you want to do, you can use the programs that resnullius listed. I use Adeptec Easy CD Creator for my data CDs.

If he tried VCD easy then he might just be trying to make a VCD don't you think

As I don't think anyone would come to a VCD forum to find info on burning AVI's onto a CDR do you ?
