Okay...I am wanting to rip a DVD and convert it to a high quality DivX file, only I am not very advanced and upscale with all of the settings to choose from in DivX 5.0.1. Everytime I try to convert the video, I get a crappy output that doesn't even deserve to be classified as video. All I ever hear is how GREAT of quality DivX has to offer, and some of the DivX vids I have downloaded ARE great quality, and I want to be able to replicate my movies like that too, however, I don't know how to configure the codec so that I get a high quality output. Basically, I'd like someone to walk me through the configuring process and help me set up my DivX 5 codec so that my output IS DVD quality. Encoding time is not an issue, but quality is. Please, somebody help me encode like the people do that put out the high quality videos on the net. Thanks!
