TMPGenc and VirtualDub .zip

When i download VirtualDub and TMPGenc they're zip files. On my computer .zip files always open in Abode or something and it doesn't work, i can't get VirtualDub or TMPGenc. Can someone tell me what to open zip files with? and if you don't know what to open it with can you just give me some other programs that are like VirtualDub and TMPgenc and are in .exe .

Download www.winzip.com and install, make sure its associated with .zip files. Then right click the zip file and select extract to C:\TMPGEncetc etc This will recreate the sub folders correctly.

I already unzipped TMPGenc with Winzip, but when i click it it says "This is not a valid Win32 application" and TMPGenc is not a exe on my comp. its a VPF File. Can you tell me what to do to make it work?

By any chance do you have file extension view, switched off ?. If your file extensions are switched off you wont see the .EXE so you need to switch them on.

TMPGEnc folder does have a "TMPGEncVFP_Install.bat" but that's not the main program "TMPGEnc.exe" is. the folder should have theses sub directories inside.

Then a list of the other files, if your double clicking the wrong file you would get that error, you would also get that error if the program was corrupt, or maybe infected by a virus.

P.S You did download the program not the plug-in ?

TMPGEnc.vfp is the plugin
