  1. Hi,

Can anyone please help. I've ripped several DVD's using Smartripper and created one big vob file. When I try to load this in to TMPGENC (using one of the templates...say SVCD for example), The clip option tells me that there's only about 70000+ frames (this varies with DVD) but the outcome is always the same.

If I let the encoder run, it does not convert all of the movie. Just up to the point it thinks it has ended.

Under the clip option, I can move the cursor all the way along to the end of the movie, but the frame numbers do not tally up. For example, a film could be 170000 frames, but TMPGENC tells me there's far fewer.

    Can anyone help?

    regards

  2. The same thing happened to me with the movie 'The Others'. My problem resulted from not stripping out the 'Angles' that where in the movie.

I had to strip out the unwanted crap with IFOEdit then repack the finished movie into a new single VOB for TMPGEnc. One I did this it was able to properly 'see' all the frames in the movie.

    I hope this helps.

  3. I am sure I've taken all angles out and just left with the picture and 6channel sound. I've tried several DVD's and they are all the same. The latest (Harry Potter) only registers about 68000 frames when it is really much longer.

Anybody got any other help. If you can try to replicate my dilemma, try Alien (PAL r2) The 5+gig file read into TMPG and only showed 78000 frames. HEEEEEELLLP!!!
