I re-encoded a movie using ReMPEG and burnt to one DVD-R.
Playback on my set top and A03 was OK until 80 mins into movie, when it started to jump/miss frames (always at the same point). The video would freeze and resume a few secs later, sometimes 20, 30 secs later, sometimes less. Playback would go back to normal 10 mins later until the end of the movie.
I still have the re-encoded VOBs on my HDD and it does NOT jump when I play through PowerDVD. The A03 jumps less than my set top but still jumps when I play the DVD-R, not the VOB files.
I burnt with Nero 5.5.8.2 using UDF/ISO option.
Is the DVD-R burnt incorrectly or is the re-encoding screwed or what?
I'm getting a bit paranoid cos I feel I have to watch all my burnt DVD-Rs through b4 I delete the ripped VOBs off my HDD.
Anyone tell me what I may be doin wrong?
TIA.

Are you using 'cheapo' media? There is a discussion at :http://www.vcdhelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=89891 that deals with this issue.
Also try burning the DVD-R at 1x. This corrected jump/freeze issue that I had with certain media.
