Cooledit will allow you to listen and trim/cut/add/etc. on the fly. You can find (demo) at http://www.download.com

You can imprt them into Vegas Video and listen to the songs and when you find a part you want to cut just hit the "m" ket and it will place a marker in the timeline so you know where you want to edit.

Goldwave is a good programme but you'll also need to download the lame file which are both available from goldwave
to download goldwave
http://www.goldwave.com/release426.html
to download lame file
http://www.goldwave.com/faq.html#mpeg
Looks complicated but its really easy to use, just follow the instructions on how to install the lame file and the best programme out there...

Try MP3Splitter,just play and split,it's easy and free.
http://www.webattack.com/get/megamp3split.shtml
Four free must-haves to work with mp3's are:
1.CDex
2.MP3Gain
3.MP3Splitter
4.MP3trim
All of which you can find at the link above.
BTW...I like responding to the dead
