I recently formatted my harddrive because it was struggling with all the crap installed on it. When I reinstalled Nero it asked me to select a CD-R. It would not let me select my drive, and gave the error message 'Sorry, this nero version can only be used with the recorder it has been bundled with.' It goes on to say that I should obtain a Full Version. I downloaded a Full Version (not from nero themselves), V5.5.7.2, but this gives me the same error message. Obviously when I installed the program previusly it did not say it couldn't be used with my drive.
Does anyone know how to make nero work with my drive?

Install your version.
Head off to the Nero website and download the latest version.
This will update your version installed on your machine, and fingers crossed will solve your problem. -
I also have this burner ,works fine with Nero, and even though its getting a little old does great overburns with traxdata 90min media you can fit a 950mb(mode2) on a VCD.
