How does one capture video from a non-video program? Specifically, I'm trying to turn a Powerpoint presentation with animation into a video. I've already got a capture card (DV500), but I can't figure out how to do this. (I do know that the Mac version of Powerpoint outputs in Quicktime format. Unfortunately, the Win version does not.)

If you have tv out on your video card connect it to a vcr.If you want to burn to cd try importing it to Windows Movie Maker(or get Win.Media Encoder 8) and convert it with TMPGEnc.Read "How To Convert".

Interesting. Although I've not yet tried connecting the TV Out to a VCR, your suggestion did prompt me to connect it (s-video and composite) to the input of my capture card. The thought was that I could basically reroute it using the shortest "distance". No such luck.
