Hi, right now I'm on Windows 2000, and whenever I encode a AVI movie to a MPG with TMPGEnc a few seconds of the end of the MPG get cut off where those few seconds were part of the original AVI file. This never used to happen when I had Windows 98, the WHOLE THING used to be converted, but now those few 2 or 3 seconds get caught off at the end. This is kind of annoying because when you go to switch to CD 2 or whatever you missed a few seconds of CD 1 so you kind of have to interpret at what they said or did. Can anyone tell me how to fix this so the WHOLE ENTIRE MPG is made, with EVERY second, not ANY cut off. Thanks

I think the problem that you are encountering is that you are using windows 2000. I use this program almost every day with the second version of windows 98 and I do not have any problems at all. I know it is possible to record and edit videos on the windows 2000 platform, but you are going to encounter many problem due to the fact that this operating system is set up to work for computer networks and servers. I know that I thought about installing windows 2000, but then I saw that it would not work with most of my video software and hardware devices. If I were you I would back up all of your video files onto cd-rom and then reload windows 98 if you can. Win 98 is a lot more video friendly than win 2000.

Scotto what are you talking about trying to imply that Win98se being better than 2000? no way win2k works fine with Tpgenc its sounds without trying to offend you but like a user problem try reading up on it a little more Im sure your just overlooking something easy. What kind of capture card are you using ???ATI???
