I have been experimenting with both higher (X)vcd bitrates and resolution. When at either 2000 or 2500 BR and 352x240 resolution, the resulting CD-R disk plays fine in my Sony DVD player. But, at 720x480, the picture is no longer centered on the TV screen -- no matter what settings I have on the DVD player.
Any suggestions?
I am using Vegas Video 3.0A to create uncompressed AVI video, then use TMPGenc to encode to MPEG 1 format. VV3 only allows a standard VCD encoding, and the quality is just so-so! I am looking for the best quality (X)VCD no matter what the rendering time. Not quite ready to convert to DVD until some standards are finalized and my player will not handle a SVCD disk.
Thanks
