Guys, new to the capturing scene but not the converting scene, played around with a lot of settings for compression when capturing vhs in Virtual Dub, but wondering how do they get such good sound on there divx movies, Ive noticed alot of them are MPEG Layer3 127 kbits 44,1000Hz, Is this a special codec they are using for audio, when Ive tried using similar settings i.e 44,100hz my file size balloons out to a rediculous size, Any ideas you movie masters?
Cheers in advance
Dave
