dvds510 & dvd711 play X(S)VCD ???

i own a yamaha dvds510 (based on dvd711, philips),
vcd playing= ok
svcd playing= ok

but now i want to make X(S)vcd's, the compatibility-list stated that it will play both.
i've tried but when going outside the spec's (vcd or svcd),
especially the bitrate, the player "hicks".
(i've tried cdr's and cdrw's).

is there someone who have created an SVCD with higher bitrates, and if yes: how??

Sorry, same problem here...

i 2 have a s510
burned a XSVCD with videobitrate of 6000 --> hickups, audiodesync etc. Tried to convert the bitrate to 3000, little better, but still hickups..

if you have a solution, please let me know
