  1. I just got a computer with winXP and i instaled this card in it. i got it to work at least. Installed the XP drivers and such.

    But

The composite works just fine, but when i just have the coax hooked up it wont do anything but give me a blue screen -

My question is - have any of you experienced this? do you have any ideas how I can fix it? do you think there is somethin wrong with the card? I have 13 days to take it back so tell me what you think so i have time to take it back

Im tired - Ive been messing with this card for the last 8 hours
Ok - you got me - i dont know anything - you happy now!

Take it back. I had one and it worked ok with 98 but it gave no performance in XP.

WinTV has a model that works very nicely, as long as there are no ATI files on the computer.

  3. I have the same card. I'm sure you have selected the TV Tuner from the Connections dialog box. Also, if you are receiving garbage when you open up ATI TV program, try to click on an empty space on your desktop while the program opens up. It then shows the correct signal. Weird problem, but this solution actually worked for me.

Also, do not constrain yourself with ATI's applications that came with the box. I use iuVCR to capture signals (composite or coax) and it gives me flexibility to select any resolution I want. With ATI's own recording program, I could only get at most 640x240. Switch to uiVCR. Link is in the Tools section of this web site.

  4. Make sure your cap card is set to cable or Antennas, depending on which one it is. And make sure its on a channel that is boardcasting.

  5. Hey im back! - Coax is still not working - hey thats the problem though, it dons't give me the CABLE/ANTANAE option to choose - it gives me composite and Svideo only - why is this? The manual tells me i should have CATV option. Im about fed up with this card and will most likely take it back on me next day off and look into the WinTV option. That is unless i can figure it out by friday
Ok - you got me - i dont know anything - you happy now!
