I bought a Vizio 50" plasma HDTV at Costco on black Friday for $999. I am going to upgrade my Dish Satellite service to HDTV. Is there any difference in quality between the HDMI output and coax from the HDTV satellite receiver? I want to use the HDMI inputs on the TV for other devices and use the DTV coax input for the satellite box.

For HD you must use HDMI. The current Dish boxes probably require the TV to be HDCP compliant as well. A new Vizio will be.

That machine has 3 HDMI inputs. What are you using them all for?

Mine is a VP50 a model from earlier this year which only has two HDMI ports. I want to attach a player and a Netgear EVA8000 to the HDMI ports.
