  1. I got some old VHS tapes i want to transfer into my computer and have them stored in Digital Format. I see some cables that are fairly cheap like 5-10 euros, but i ended up ordering a 40 euro Cable instead from Reflecta. Im nit sure if ive spent too much and will even make a difference, what do you guys think

Similar products went as i said for less than 10 euros. Anyways, another thing i may fear is my VHS player may have some kind of copy protection? Cause i can output it too a TV and watch the tapes, but when i connected it to a DVD recorder that i already own on the house, i wasnt getting an output from there in order to record what was playing...

Anyway TLDR did i do good for spening 40 euros and not 5-10, and will i atleast bypass this probable copy protection and have an output to capture on my computer?

It's called a capture device not cable, It converts analog signal to digital, a cable cannot do that. That device looks like a generic chinese easycap that sells for less than $10, but do try it and let us know.

  3. It's German and supposedly a brand name. A similar product also exists by Startech at 50 euros. And then there's this one at 7 euros

Wonder if they all do the same job. And if they can do the job at all with my VHS

These consumer gadgets cannot be judged by price, you have to try and find out for yourself.
