  1. Huge appreciation for anyone that can help me with this. I started droning my daughters soccer games. I like to fly it far enough away so the buzz isn’t annoying. That said, name labels above the girls heads would be super helpful. If anyone can explain to me how to do this, I would greatly…greatly appreciate it.

This sounds like a nice project for facial recognition. This is not going to be easy. Just watch numerous videos on YouTube, search GitHub database, etc.
There are also paid solutions such as Amazon Rekognition and plenty of other websites who offer such services.

  3. Do you know the girls names that you want to label? If so then you can do it in any good video editing program. But it will take a learning curve for you. Maybe look up youtube videos on track motion effects. You will have to decide if it's worth your time and effort to do it.

If face recognition is too complicated for you, perhaps a simpler solution would be to have the names of the players printed on their uniform or shirts on the front and back.

  5. Appreciate the responses. I'll dig into youtube. I know the names of the girls and could pick them out on the footage, but facial rec may be difficult as the footage is a bit far away. Maybe the tech is better than I think - but Im likely to have to do it manually for the most part. Capcut or resolve seem to be pretty beginner user friendly.
