Need Help with HP 200i DVD Writer Installation & Burn Softwa

I purchased a new HP DVD 200i writer. When I installed it, I can never get it to consistenly do a cd copy copy consistenty. I use NERO 5.3.3.8 and there are alot of error message with failure to read the vcd data from the cdrom reader. I even try to drag all the .dat file from the vcd to make a vcd mpeg-1 and it failed again. When I pulled the HP DVD writer out and inserted my
plexwriter back in, I can perform a cd copy again with any read or write error. I installed the DVD writer in both my P1 and P2 machine and the result are the same. I used Windows 2000. In both machine, I use a master and slave configuration.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong.

Uninstall all of the lousy software HP ships with the drive.

Download Nero 5.5.8.2 and install that.
