  1. um yeah, when i make standard vcds i try to use a higher bitrate but i have a question, say i use 1800kbps instead of 1150kbps and it makes the file size larger, now when i go to burn (using nero) does the same rule apply like always meaning 74 minute cd means 740Mbs and 80 minute cd meaning 800Mb or since the file sizes are larger is the amount less?

Well that 10 megabyte per 1 minute rule is based on the 1150 plus 224 bitrate. If any of those numbers change, then the ten meg per minute ratio is no longer true. If you raised it, then you have less time. When I make xvcds, I don't even bother with little increment increases, I just double the bitrate and resolution. 704x480 with 2300 and 224 for bitrate. Looks excellent from cable sources, 8mm camera, and DVDs.
