Does anyone know how to find out what codecs are installed in Windows particularly ME? I have installed a whole bunch of codecs over the past few months but do not know which ones are actually available and working with various applications. Thanks.

Control panel - multimedia - devices, that ought to give an indication of which codecs are installed.
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war." -
Control panel -> System -> hardware ->device manager -> Sound video and game controllers -> video codex
