i have this divx file that has an error near the end that makes the audio desync when i convert it, and it stays desync'd during the whole movie
if i watch the divx, the software corrects the audio desync if i skip over the error in the movie
is there any way to choose a starting point in the divx file that you want to convert to svcd? i can't find any option like that in TMPGEnc

First try to use DivFix
http://www.divx-digest.com/software/divfix.html
if not then use the source range option in TMPGEnc
Settings-Advanced-Source Range
or put your divx in VirtualDub and delete the bad part and then either frameserve to TMPGEnc or re-save the divx using "direct stream copy" for both the audio and video
those are your optionsyour pal,
