Hi,

Here's my problem

I have a Sony digital Hi8 camcorder and plan to change for a Mini-DV so I have to convert my old home movies (Hi8 and Digital Hi8).

My editing software is Premiere 6.0
I plan to buy a DVD-Burner buy later this year.

I have a CD-Burner.

I am able to create MPEG-2 (with TMPGEnc) and read it with Windows Media Player. :D

I am able to create a SVCD (with Nero) but my DVD player cannot read SVCD :(

I probably can make a SVCD test at the store where I'll buy my Mini-DV camcorder but I have to be sure of the quality before throwing away my old camcorder.

What are the setting for best MPEG2 quality? Can I have DVD quality with SVCD format? (doen't matter if it is for a 5 or 10 minutes film).

Any suggestion will be apreciate?

Thank's
Robert
