Hi, everyone! I'm having an issue with my StarTech USB3HDCAP capture card when recording composite and I was wondering if you guys had any ideas.
Basically, for the "output color range" option, it will not let me switch to "expand", defaulting to "bypass" within a second pretty much every time. I don't have this problem with component and, weirdly, I've managed to get it to work before. It's always been finnicky though and I don't know how I managed to work around it.
I've tried replacing the StarTech drivers with modified Micomsoft drivers, but they give me a similar issue. While the color range remains on "expand", no change in color occurs and it defaults back as soon as I hit OK.
Any ideas?

If you have component working and it works for what you want to capture, stick with that,
only thing is you bypass any video reworking the vcr does, if you're capturing from a vcr ?
for a vcr color space should be YUV , if it has such an option, (combo deck or dvd-recorder)
