hey..
any one know how to captur video from windows.. want to make a movie of me playing an old game....

camtasia or snagit it tink can do that.

The easiest way would probably be to have a video card with a good TV out like a Matrox g550 for instance. Then video tape from the TV out...

Here's what I do.
I have a ATI AIW card, i plug the TV-Out cable into the TV-In port of the card, switch the card to display the tv out signal then use any capture software (capturing TV-in) to capture.
This works for capturing DVD's in realtime, played full screen on my PC as well as all computer screen's available.

Yeah i will fully agree with you here camtasia would be the best program for this.
