I have a Canon Elura 80 camcorder and a Windows 7 PC. I'm trying to capture an analog signal using the pass-through on my camera. I used to do this all the time using Windows Movie Maker on Windows XP without a problem. I tried Windows Movie Maker 2.6 designed for Vista. I've also tried Windows Live Movie Maker, no luck. Finally, I gave up and decided to just record the analog video onto the mini-DV tape, then capture it. It wouldn't capture from the tape either! Anybody else having DV capture problems with Windows 7?

Laserdiscs are cool, but laserdiscs on DVD-Rs are cooler.

Have you tried any other dv capture tool like windv or dvio or Enosoft DV Processor?
I had similar problem with an old panasonic dv camera, it found the dv drivers but I couldn't capture/record using ANYthing in Windows 7 RC1.
