Hail!
Im trying to convert my DivX .avi to mpg using TMPGEnc so I can try to make a VCD but I get this error when its going.
'Illegal floating decimal point calculation order.'
The Movie is The Matrix and stops at 6% each time ive done it.
Don't know if this is udeful but here is soem info it had on the bottom 'Video-CD NTSC Film (MPEG-1 352x240 23.976fps CBR 1150kbps, Layer-2 44100Hz 224kbps)'
Anything im doing wrong?
Oh, and I got some other questions too..
1.) Can VCDs be burned on regular CD-Rs and played on DVD players?
2.) When I do the convert thing, how can I make it stay widescreen like on the DivX? On the messed up converted .mpg its like full screen and some pictures are stretched.
3.) I think thats its for now.... Hehe.
Thanks to whoever helps me and whoever just looks at this post and says im noob and doesn't help.

I can't answer all of your questions but I do know this: VCD's can be burned onto regular CDR(W)'s and be played on DVD players. Simply follow your usual process that you do to copy the CD. However, your DVD player has to be able to play them properly. Check this site out for the DVD player compatibility list to see if your DVD player can.
