  2. What is the file size you are trying to use ? an 80min CDR will contain 700mb of Data, or 800mb of VideoCD Standard.

  4. 814mb isn't too large, you can do overburning if your CDRW drive supports it
most CDR media can go the extra 2 min without too much problem, what you can do is a simulation of overburning, and see how that goes.

  6. If you are using for example Nero, go to File / Preferences / Expert Settings
and you can enable Overburn there.

  7. You have to be careful when you overburn. If you mees up your CD Burner, you're screwed cos the makers won't honer the warranty.

I messed up my plextor burner that way.

Have you try CloneCD? It will do a disc-disc copy better than Nero.

Or, use VCDEasy or VCDgear to convert the .dat file from your VCD to .mpg file. Then burn it back to a blank CD.

  9. SEFY you said an 80min CDR will contain 700mb of Data, or 800mb of VideoCD Standard. I'm just curios why is tha? How is it possible that it will hold 800mb of VCD standard

  10. Because when you burn regular Data (WAV/DOC....) then the block size is diffrent (larger) then the one being used for Video-CD Standard, I recall the block size being around 2356 (or something) compared to 2048 used on VCD

  11. SEFY, I know your a certified computer tech but can you give me that info in "laymans terms". Man is that confusing to a computer ileterate like me-everything you just said went in one ear and out the other.actually didn't take long either kind of empty up there(lol)

  12. As layman as I can
Data CD's have larger sector sizes, meaning the file takes more space.
VideoCD's have smaller sector sizes, meaning the file takes less space.
