Splitting Large Movies

Hello guys,

This is my first attempt at making a vcd.

I downloaded LORD OF THE RINGS in divx avi format.
Looks Great!
It is 2 parts each about 735 mb and 95mins.
All i tried doing was using nero 5.5 and choosing vcd. worked fine to encode but when it was done with first part the file was now 925 mb.

How can i split it up into 3 parts or make it smaller to allow it to fit on a 80 min cd?

Any help is much appreciated, again this is my first time doing this.. THANK YOU

look right to the left of this post and you should see a section called edit. click that and find the section for splitting avi's using virtual dub. see if that helps

use the mpg tools in tmpg to split them into 3 files
