Error in Mediainfo - bash: fg: %ID%: no such job

Hi,

i'm trying to get some information from multimedia files with mediainfo (command line), but there is the error

bash: fg: %ID%: no such job

The command line is use is

mediainfo --Output=Video;%ID% input.mkv

As i could read in the help this should output the ID of the video stream. I have the same error with all other info-parameters and also when i use 'General' or 'Audio' instead of 'Video'. also when i try --Output=file://Text.txt.

I use 17.12 on Ubuntu 16.04. 'mediainfo input.mkv' works.

What is wrong here?

Does the semicolon need to be escaped? I.e. \; instead of ; ?

Yes, thats it.

An other question: how can i output a parameter only for one of the streams? lets say i have 2 audio streams in a file and i want to output only the "format" of the first audio stream. This

mediainfo --Output=Audio\;%Format% input.mkv

outputs

AC-3AC-3

because there are 2 ac3-audio-streams.
