Using MeGUI, I'm trying to hardsub subtitles into videos for better playback. However, I had a problem with AVS Script Creator because when I tried to add a video input it'd say that the correct filters weren't installed. So I proceeded to install Haali Media Splitter and it worked. But, when I encoded everything and looked back at the video, the entire video was completely grey and the subtitles and audio were completely fine.

Lav filters should work with avc video.

You could try the old ffdshow instead.
