Hi, i used to view subtitled AVI videos just playing an AVI file with QuickTime Pro 7 and an .srt file together in the same folder and changing the srt file's title to match that of the AVI file. Now it's not working anymore. What could be the problem?
    MacBook Pro 13" MacOS 1.6.8.

That sounds like a feature of Perian.
Do you have the latest version? (v.1.2.3)
Is subtitle support ("Load External Subtitles") still checked in the Prefs Pane?

Hi, Case. Thanks for the response. The culprit was Perian all right but not it's "Load External Subtitles" feature.
The problem was update 1.2.3 didn't update Perians QTime component for some reason.
    Now all is working fine.

    Did you re-install the 1.2.2 version or re-re-install 1.2.3?

Neither of the above. Just copied the component from my G5 that is networked to the MacBook.
    Should I re-install 1.2.3?

Probably not necessary if it's the 1.2.3 version you copied. If it's working, don't fix it.
