I can't seem to even get started with VirtualDub 1.4.9. As soon as I go to File > Capture AVI I get the error message "Cannot find a driver to draw this non-RGB image format. Preview and historgram functions will be unavailable." and then none of the options that should be there are there, for example the only Format available under Video is dvsd, the only available source is microsoft DV camera and VCR (which is correct however) and nothing at all shows up under Video > Compression.
I'm trying to capture from VHS through the canopus advc-100 and an NEC 1394 firewire card and running windows 98se. I've been able to successfully capture with ulead videostudio 5 but so far can't get anywhere with virtualdub. Any ideas?
