  2. You need to provide a sample of the source.

I can't because it is a dvd from ebay and it is converted from Japan VHS to DVD so it is not original source

  4. Upload a sample of what you are starting with. If that's DVD use a program like DgIndex or Mpg2cut2 to snip out a 10 second sample that shows the problem.

And what exactly are the images you posted? Are you seeing as many as 5 duplicate blended frames in a row in the source? Or is that after you (bob) deinterlaced somehow?

There is a lot of Fieldblending/Frameblending in the video itself. I'm not sure if it only Fieldblending/Frameblending
or there is also deinterlaced too.

  6. The underlying frame rate of that video is around 7.5 fps. The blended frames aren't blended with an adjacent unblended frame, but rather a blend of two other unique frames of the original source. I believe there are a lot of missing frames too. I don't see any way of removing/repairing the blended frames leaving smooth motion.

  8. Hehe, the main problem is the idiot that ruined it. As jagabo said, it's hopeless.
