  1. I have a skateboard video which is in avi format. I have used several programs (LSX TMPGenc Nero) to change it into a mpeg so i can put it on a VCD, but I can't! When I used these programs, the mpeg file I get back from them has no video, just audio. I am sure it has video, as I play it on windows media player and it's normal while in avi format.

I'll tell you the info if it might help (it's from its properties):

    MPEG Layer-3,255 kBit/s, 44,100 Hz, Stereo
    352 x 240, 102306 Frames, 29.970 Frames/Sec, 142 KB/Sec, Unknown Format

    PLEASE POST!!
    thanks

  2. since it already has all the correct dimensions for a VCD why not just drop that file into nero (or whatever) and let it convert it and burn???

  3. I have the same problem. The files i had were .avi, but it turns out they are actual mp4 video, mp3 audio. Perhaps yours are the same, and your version of media player doesn't recognize the mp4 format. If anyone can help with converting my files, that would be greatly appreciated

where did you get this video from? the internet? or a dv camera? If its from the internet, its probably divx, and you'll need to download the divx codec. If its from a dv camera, you'll need to get a dv codec.
