  1. I have a program called Vegas Movie Studio 6.0 (a little outdated, I know...) It reads certain type of .AVI video files (everything else seems to just be Audio only...)

    I found this thread:

    https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/358143-Convert-Mpeg2-ts-video-to-avi

Unfortunately I guess I'm not smart enough to work around AviDemux, because no matter what I save the video type as I can barely get Vegas to register that the file is actually there. I tried to look up videos and they say it's super easy and it shows them just 'saving' the file and it is a .AVI. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong then... The .AVI that comes out of the AviDemux is not working with Vegas... (Heck, even the audio isn't registering with Vegas...)

I'm no pro at video editing, I just recently got a Video Capture Card and recorded me playing some video games and I want up upload it to Youtube. The Capture Card records as .TS files.

Does someone have a better recommendation on video converters? I'm terribly broke so any freeware would be my only option...

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Actually, it's A LOT outdated -- about 10 years. It can't handle HD or most forms of h.264. I suspect that's where your problem lies.

  3. Ok. I'll look into a better video editor (or more updated version). I hope that helps fix my problem! Thanks for the reply!

The latest version (13) has a 30 day free trial and can be found for about $40 with a little scrounging. Best of luck.
