  1. I have an mpeg file of an orchestra playing and I have extracted the audio from it. At about 2:20 there is a very loud, sharp noise. It sounds like a music stand falling over and bouncing. Needless to say, I want to remove this noise but, I need help.

I have tried a simple cut which was moderately successful and I can live with it but, I'm looking for a better solution. I have also tried without any success pop and clic removal and notch filtration.

    Looking for suggestions.

Is there another portion of the score which closely matches the phrasing at the offending moment? If so, copy & paste a short surrounding segment (~1ms to ~3sec) and put quick crossfades (of 1/2 to 1/8 of the segment duration, depending on style & timings). Sort of a "search and replace".
