What im asking is:
How can i burn a movie (avi, mpg...) into VCD and have subtitles (i add of course) in the movie. I'm not sure how to add subtitles, so im not sure if im supposed to add the subtitles with a program or what... help. thx.

You cant add subtitles to a normal vcd caus MPEG-1 dont support it. SVCD will let you. If you need to add your own, I-Author does a good job of it. You will need a copy, and they are very hard to find.

You can add subs (permanently, not switchable, sorry) in VirtualDub with a 3rd party filter and some work, then frameserve to your mpeg encoder (TMPGenc, for instance). Grab the filters from virtualdub.org

K, i read and downloaded everything i need. Tomorrow ill try and use my stuff to add subtitles to a movie. (VCD)
