  1. On a couple of movies I've ripped I've had a real problem with the video switching back and forth between the various languages on the disc. The audio stays in english as selected but the video skips like a broken record from english titles to french to spanish to whatever. This. of course, causes the the audio and the video to go out of sync. However the problem often clears up about 20 to 30 minutes in the film. Except the audio is severly behind the audio. I use dvd2avi then tmpgenc to encode to vcd. What can i do to correct the problem?

P.S. Please, the last time I posted a question this forum I got a whole string of responses which i greatly appreciated. However, NO one ever really answered my question. Instead I got this huge debate about which is better vcd or svcd and methods for extracting superior quality audio. I am not trying to insult anyone but I don't care about svcd or if i can fit the whole thing on one cd. My question is twofold: One, has anyone else experinced this problem? and, two, how do I PREVENT the problem occuring again in the future?

This is a common problem. Some dvds store some of the subtitles as separate angles instead of the usual overlayed subs. What you did was rip every angle on the dvd. To fix this simply re-rip the vobs but this time select angle 1.

DVD almost at least has two languages ( English and French ).

To aviod problem, enable streaming, select only the video stream and one sound track during ripping. Leave all other streams unchecked.
    then disable streaming, then rip.

That won't accomplish anything Sing Sing. He said his audio is fine, its the video that shows multiple languages. Like I said, he needs to only rip angle 1.
